Large Tiles take less time to install–tho’ the penny tiles are mostly done in 12″ mesh strips. And, m0re grout = more maintenance of sealing and dirt/discoloration. There are products now that are very large format tile that can look like slab stone. Large tiles are only an option on perfecty flat sub-floors. Where there is drainage and the floor is designed to not be flat, large tile doesn’t work.
It’s the look. White looks tradional and the options are amazing. It is one of the most requested tiles in the bathroom–and, what I have in my own bathroom.
