Why do they top the Best Home Improvement list? For one, they’re visible inside and out with not only “Curb Appeal”, but beauty in the interior.
If you have “World War II” era windows — Single Pane with Aluminum frames, those are costing you! The good news is you can skip all the slow steps of technology and get the final product in one investment –loaded with features and saving you money for a lifetime.Name another product that will actually GIVE you money every month!
While replacing the old single panes is easily decided upon instantly without hesitation, most of the windows we replace are Double Pane.
Why replace Double Pane windows? They’ve been required by code since the mid to late 80’s, but do builders install the best window they can find? NO!!… or the term “Builder Grade” would be a Gold Standard. They choose cost efficient (cheapest) windows that, unfortunately, FAIL.
Since Aluminum conducts heat 9X as much as Stainless Steel(1000 X Vinyl), and, glass transmits heat (remember Corning cookware?) Double Pane- Aluminum Framed Windows perform almost like a single pane windows. A FAIL!!!
So, cheap windows mean …”HOT OUTSIDE=HOT INSIDE”, and “COLD OUTSIDE=COLD INSIDE” Comfort suffers, and condensation is pretty bad—leading to costly wood rot, and mold affecting everyone in the house. Another FAIL.
A HEAT RESISTANT Frame is a MUST…!!! 90% of Local Homes choose a high grade Vinyl which is durable, attractive, low maintenance and has a Lifetime warranty. WIN
The frame transmits about 1/1000th as much heat! A window is mostly glass, though. So, the glass has gone through a number of improvements. Remember the dashboards on cars in the 70’s and before? UV light and Heat would split, crack, and crumble them, so the Auto Industry developed “Low E” Glass blocking 99% of UV light.
This is great for the home— no more sun-bleached carpets, curtains, or pillows bright on one side and faded on the other.Ever use those windshield Sunshade reflective barriers to stop the heat? You already know then that “Low E” glass doesn’t stop the heat. Another FAIL.
Newest advances on window glass , “U3 Technology”, now Reflects/Blocks the Heat (infrared), but lets in most of the Visible Light….
Finally, that “hole in the wall” can be “more efficient” than the wall. Both panes reflecting away Heat, a Heat Blocking Frame, and Argon gas (think coffee Thermos) insulating between the pane Summer heat is kept out, and Winter warmth is kept in. Shouldn’t every home be blessed like this? WIN!
If a Realtor showed a home without windows—we’d run, right? Yet, we’ve seen windows covered up as if they were a “mistake in the wall”—Aluminum foil, cardboard, plywood, or three layers of window covering…the resident hasn’t seen that window in YEARS! Natural light is healthier and brightens rooms and moods.
The seals on “Builder Grade” windows often fail causing a “frosted glass” haze between the panes . Poor seals has let moist air flow in, eventually leaving a lime deposit buildup which is a sign it’s time to replace windows. Why not go with a Lifetime window?
Cedar Fever? Lots of dust in the home? “Infiltration”, or drafty windows inflate energy bills, decrease comfort, and lower air quality—and, condensation on an Aluminum window could harbor mold linked to respiratory illnesses.
Insulated Frames and tightly sealed glass will dramatically reduce outside noise—from cars, lawn mowers, dogs, neighbors, planes, etc.
Years ago, Pacesetter sold “storm windows” that went on the outside of your existing windows Wow, are those a project to clean! With tilt in windows, no need to go outside or even remove the screen to clean the glass.
With Home Invasions on the news, feel safer with secure locks, 200% stronger glass, and a pry bar resistant design, know your home and family are safer and more secure.
Ever turn to the Google Machine for “Free prices?” Input email address, and phone number and then….
Boom! Our phone starts blowing up!
Company after company calls. That internet ploy is called “Fly Trap”. From auto insurance to home improvements, it is a ploy to get our contact info. Windows are unique to each home. Lifetime Energy Efficient Replacement Windows are NOT AN “OFF THE SHELF” ITEM.
The house has shifted over time. Since a snug fit is important, unlike a build in place window, every reputable company has the windows custom built. And, there are code requirements for tempered glass and fire exits, manufacturer “min/max’s” for each type. If pre- 1978,the EPA requires testing for Lead Paint.
DOES THAT MEAN YOU “HAVE TO” HAVE A SALES PERSON TAKE UP TWO OR MORE HOURS GOING THROUGH THE PRESENTATION? And, pressure for a “buy now” decision? No. And, a small yes.
Before manufacturing custom windows, “precise” measurements have to be taken and evaluation for special situations. But, that isn’t a sales visit, and takes only a few moments.
If Eastco has the measurements, type of window, etc, then you can “know”the price and decide if we are the company for you without having to schedule a block of time for the you and your spouse (if that’s the case) to both listen to a sales pitch.
Sound good? Well, it is. There is a catch. It will still require some work on your part. We do need the measurements. And, your selections. And, just check some questions about location and height of windows.
Over 80% of homes in the San Antonio area are able to be remotely accessed on a database for window sizes. This is a Fee Based service that costs $75/home. But if the convenience is worth it to you, we can accommodate. If your home is in the data base, we get the info within 48 hours, 2 business days.
We will still need some info from you, but that will allow us to at least give a range and when all your selections are made, a final number. Is it worth it. Well, that pushy salesperson in the home that other companies use is paid on a commission. 15-20%. That is saved. And, we strive to be competitive anyway.
Look at our info on windows. Watch some videos. And, we can make this as smooth and rewarding as possible.
